Week four, "A Flash Back to the Bygone Years"

Here is an interesting advertisement from the December 14, 1887 issue of The Monitor stating that this doctor will give $500 to any person who he cannot cure of catarrh with his remedy.

Some of the common symptoms of catarrah include dull heavy headaches, obstruction of the nasal passages, and ringing in the ears. The price was only 50 cents.

Advertisements like these were fairly common back in those days and continued to be for some time but would eventually disappear off The Monitor's pages.
