Watne Defeats Smith for Supervisor Nomination

Incumbent Stan Watne defeated Caleb Smith in the June 3 Republican primary to earn the party's nomination for Wright County District 2 Supervisor. The unoffiical vote was 708 to 176 (80% to 20%). Watne will advance to the November general election, at which he is not expected to face a challenger on the ballot.
