Trenton Sann enjoys great experience at Shrine Bowl

Made the North squad as last minute addition

 

After amassing over 1,500 total yards of offense for the Cowboy football team last fall, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows graduate Trenton Sann reaped a few postseason honors. He then got one more, maybe the best one, when he learned he would be a member of the North Team for the annual Shrine Bowl at the UNI-Dome.

“I was surprised, yet excited, at the same time because I was not selected at first,” said Sann. “When an athlete from Waverly-Shell Rock could not compete, I was then asked to fill his spot.”

The 43rd annual Shrine Bowl has been an effective tool in raising money for the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, and has brought in over $2.268 million dollars to date to benefit many kids with serious burns or other crippling diseases.
