Supervisors change funding request to DOT for bridge project

Wright County Engineer Adam Clemons presented a funding change, which will be sent as an amendment to the DOT budget, for a bridge project in Iowa Township on Uptagraph Avenue.

  Clemons told the Supervisors that the bridge was in the five-year program a year ago, only to see the bridge closed to traffic this past May. The location of the bridge on that road causes access issues to residents, and there is also a need to replace another small bridge located down the road from that location. Clemons has decided to relocate the road for the new structure, taking out a sharp curve and making a sweeping curve for the new bridge. The land needed, which was just permanent pasture, has already been purchased.
