Superhero Party Time

With the theme for the Clarion Public Library’s summer reading events being superheroes, they decided to end the series with a party with the entire theme of superheroes. The League of Extraordinary Library Helpers was there to help set everything up and host. The kids gathered in the basement and waited for Nancy Nail to announce what was going to happen.

Once she announced the set up for the party the kids split up into groups and tackled  each activity with their groups. They set up activities for the kids, they had an obstacle course where you had to save the baby stuck in the well. They had to pump iron to get ready to do the task, then they had to fly through the city and get to the part of town that was on fire. After that they ran over the fiery rooftops and grab the baby.

One of the other activities were making gliders and trying to hit a target at the other side of the line. The glider was made of Styrofoam and they had images of various things on them, superheroes, colors, etc. after they made the gliders the kids were able to take them home with them.
