Steve King visits with Supervisors about current matters in Congress
Shares his thoughts on the Avian Flu issue
Iowa 4th District Congressman Steve King stopped by the Wright County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, May 26 to update them on current issues in Washington and give his take on the widespread Avian Bird Flu problem that has many counties in its grip.
King began by saying that he and his colleagues in Congress are busy reconciling the budget, and will now go through the dozen appropriation bills to hopefully avoid a continuing resolution. “The Patriot Act will expire soon,” said the congressman. “We couldn’t pass an extension, so we’ll now look at that again or a House version of the bill. We’re also continuing to work towards the tracking of potential terrorist threats.”
