Scouts invited to Coin Club Meeting

Members and leaders of the Clarion Boy Scouts have been invited to the Thursday, May 22, meeting of the Clarion Coin Club. The invitation is a thank you to the troop members for serving coffee and lunch at the April 12 coin show held at Clarion. Several fun and educational events, especially for the scouts, are planned.

The meeting will start before 7 p.m. at the Pizza Ranch club room in Clarion. IT will precede a 7 auction of 83 items, consigned by club members. Each meeting features an auction of coins, currency, collectibles and supplies. Auction items will be on public display at 6 p.m. A list of auction items is available the week before each auction. Willis Soesbe is the auctioneer.

The Clarion Coin Club, founded in 1958, is one of the oldest and most active collector groups in Iowa. Visitors including parents, grandparents and siblings are welcome. For details, contact Boyd LaRue, club president, at 515-532-0056 or at 515-460-5681 (cell).
