School Board discusses mission statement, strategic plan

What's in a mission statement?

That was the question members of the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School District Mission Statement Committee were trying to answer Monday night.

The Committee met prior to the regular School Board meeting.

Several members expressed that taking time to create a meaningful one is important because it will be a vital reference point both now and in the future.

The words will be especially true for one particular group.

“I think the mission statement should be for the administration, faculty and staff first and foremost," said Paul Hansch, a member of the Committee.
