Rough week for Cowgirls basketball

It was a rough past week for the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity girls as they dropped a home contest to Humboldt, then hit the road for losses at Sheffield and Clear Lake.

Versus the Wildcats, the visitors took control early to lead 44-27 at the break. Maddie Disney finished with 18 points with Jenalee Hinkle right behind with 11 points. Kenzie Alberts scored five, Ashley Keller, Shelby Engh and Celeste Swanson all four points each and Hannah Kapka, Kenzie Kolb and Hannah TerHark all two points each.

Disney, Hinkle and Kapka all helped on the boards to the tune of four rebounds each. Keller and Swanson both grabbed three caroms apiece and Kolb two.
