Leichsenrings end combined 72 year teaching careers

 

It was just a few short years ago when the youngest of the three daughters of Monte and Chris Leichsenring, namely Katy, graduated from Clarion-Goldfield High School. Now, her teacher parents won’t be walking those same halls either as they retire together after a combined 72 years in the profession with most of those being right here in Wright County. They took some time, out of what has been a hectic first week of getting used to the whole idea, to look back on how it all started and some remembrances of their time in this school system.

“My Eighth grade teacher took me aside one day and told me that I would make a good teacher,” recalls Chris as to how she chose this as a career. “I played school as a kid all the time.”
