LEAD: leadership seminars starting in Clarion

Starting on April 13, a new organization called LEAD Wright County will be hosting leadership development seminars geared toward businesspeople or anyone who wants to develop their leadership skills. The sessions will be led by Teresa Lancaster, a talent development coach at Hagie Manufacturing.

“I’ve always had a passion for personal and professional development,” Lancaster said.

The sessions will be based on The Leadership Challenge, a book by Barry Posner and James M. Kouzes that covers five basic principles of leadership. The first session will be a general overview, and sessions after that will focus on one of the five principles. “Each session will dive a bit deeper,” Lancaster explained. The sessions are set to be a bi-monthly “lunch and learn” with a relaxed atmosphere. “It’s also a time to network, and talk about how they’re putting some of the things into practice,” Lancaster said.
