Lake Cornelia Raises Funds With Dinner and Auction Event

Lake Cornelia was the place to be Saturday as more than a hundred people gathered at the Clarmond Country Club for the Lake Cornelia Improvement Association's first annual dinner and live auction fundraiser.

"It's a fun time," said Jake Johnson of the lake association.

The meal was provided by Water's Edge, giving the restaurant an opportunity to introduce the area community to the culinary talents of their new chef, Jared Peterson. Guests at the fundraiser enjoyed their choice of steak or chicken for dinner, with a side of salad and baked potato.

"We're pretty grateful to let us showcase our new talent," said Gino Portillo, who officially took over management of Water's Edge earlier this year.
