Kirstein recognized as outstanding volunteer

Judy Kirstein felt Hospice for Wright County gave her so much while her husband was living out his final days.

So, in 2008, about a year after he passed away, she decided to start giving back by becoming a volunteer there.

Six years later, on Sept. 5, 2014, Kirstein was one more than 60 people from around the state recognized as outstanding volunteers for going above and beyond their normal duties at a Volunteer Recognition Ceremony in Altoona.

“It was very humbling for me,” Kirstein said of earning this distinction.
