Kelly Jo (Schultz) Ellis

Kelly Jo (Schultz) Ellis, 61, of Kanawha passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at her home in Kanawha.

A memorial visitation was held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

v Kelly Jo (Schultz) was born October 12, 1959 to William “Bill” and Dorthy (Ditsworth) Schultz in Clarion, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Clarion, graduating from Clarion High School.

Kelly was loved by many, she was smart-witted, had a big heart and would do anything for anyone if she had the means.

Kelly was previously married three times, before finding her life partner, Jeff. She was a stay-at-home mom, and if you came around, she treated you as if you were just another one of her kids.

Kelly was an avid reader, loved soap operas, home improvement shows and Jeopardy. She didn’t want her death mourned in sadness, her motto was “celebrate me” and “remember, kids, you can’t always get what you want.” Kelly will be missed and her memories cherished.

Kelly is survived by her life partner, Jeff Ellis of Kanawha; children Leah Kiefer of Oklahoma, Ben Sjoberg of Humboldt, Rose (Pat) Leeper of Burt, Beau (Amy) Klein of Clarksburg, West Virginia and Kandee Ellis of Kanawha; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Kandee (Mike) Grieser and Suzanne; and brother Paul (Deb) Schultz.

Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kay Campbell, Vicki Paul, and Terry Swanson, son-in-law Jason Beaver and mother-in-law Cheryl Ellis.
