Keith Poolman officiating his final season of wrestling

Keith Poolman’s officiating shirt has changed through the years, but his trousers and his calls have been a consistent fit.

“I’ve worn the same pants for 30 years," the Clarion resident joked during a miniscule break in a recent college tournament.

That sidelight could serve as a fitting description of Poolman’s career on the whistle in high school and college wrestling matches, which ends at the end of the 2015-16 season. He will take on more administrative duties with officiating, so there will still be the close ties to the sport he loves.
