Jane Loux

Jane M. Loux, 87, of Clarion, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Country Meadows Place in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the United Church of Christ Congregational, 121 3rd Avenue North West in Clarion. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Jane Marie, daughter of Harry and Lorene (Porter) Helgevold, was born at home on the farm in rural Goldfield. She grew up on the farm and attended school in Goldfield until 11th grade. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1954. While in high school, Jane started working at Bob Kay’s law office. She worked there until after marriage.

On February 20, 1955, Jane was united in marriage to Keith Loux at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Clarion. The couple made their home on the family farm, where they raised their children. Keith and Jane moved into town in 2009.

Keith and Jane enjoyed spending winters in Lake Corpus Christi, Texas. She also enjoyed sewing and cross stitch, and playing piano or organ. Jane was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational.

Jane is survived by her children Leland (Jane) Loux of Sac City, Kristine Burns of Indianola, and Lynn (Linda) Loux of Belmond; grandchildren Adam (Nicole) Loux and their children Ethan and Erik, Michael (Stephanie) Loux and their children Layla, Mason, and Slade, Jason (Jackie) Wessels and their children Madison and Tristan, and Josh Wessels and his children Abram and Azure; sister Lois “Susie” Osborn; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Keith in 2013; parent Harry and Lorene Helgevold; and brothers Kent Helgevold and Don Helgevold.
