Introducing Jaqueline Rief, chamber executive director

Starting June 29, the Clarion Chamber and Development at the historic depot welcomed a new executive director: Jaqueline Rief.

Sherri O’Brien, member of the Chamber board, was pleased to welcome Rief aboard. “[She’s] got a fresh set of eyes, and a new perspective, and it’s an opportunity for us to work together,” O’Brien said.

Rief has a varied background as a flight attendant, grant writer, store manager, and quality standards and event planner for the nonprofit Collective for Youth in the City of Omaha, mayor’s office, while she was getting her Master’s in public administration and nonprofit management. The collaborative and mission-focused skills she’s gained in those experiences will contribute to her position as the “face” of the Chamber. “I have a passion for putting on fundraising events,” Rief said. “I have a passion for people.”
