Highway 3 mural project is a go in Clarion; Painting planned to start in July

For years, various people and groups in Clarion have scratched their heads over the big empty wall along Highway 3 on the south side of the downtown business Imagine That. Many have noted that the giant white external wall would be a great canvas for something impressive and artistic. Recently, that dream has become a reality that the city is indeed pursuing. A new mural is planned to be underway by later this summer.

The mural is an undertaking by the City of Clarion under the organization of the Clarion Economic Development committee. Committee member Steve Simonin said that the city had been mulling over the mural and various other beautification ideas since their Community Visioning Project in 2017. After over a year of planning and working, the mural is finally full steam ahead.
