Hicks steps down as director of Economic Development

One text to a friend in Texas turned into a job opportunity for Brad Hicks, former director of Wright County Economic Development.

More on that in a little bit.

Hicks, of Hampton, worked his last day in the office this week. He has taken a job as publisher and editor for The Ennis Daily News in Ennis, Texas.

Though he is anxious to start the new job, moving far away from home, family and new friends won't be easy for him.
