Goldfield Community Worship and Thanksgiving meal on Saturday night

Nearly sixty area people gathered at the Goldfield school gym for the Goldfield Ministerial Association’s annual Community Worship service on Saturday, November 19. Rev. Lynn Gardner of the Goldfield Methodist Church gave the brief Thanksgiving message. Also part of the program was several songs by the newly formed Presbyterian Church bell choir, led by Rev. Sara Sutter, several Bible readings, community singing of songs, and communion and meditation led by Rev. Bob Dishman of the Park Church of Christ. The event was conducted by the three churches of the Ministerial Association.

Following the worship service, a Thanksgiving meal was served to the worshippers and the community as a whole. Some of the meals were delivered to homes in the Goldfield area. Organizers said nearly 250 meals were served.
