Girls state delegates speak to Clarion American Legion Auxiliary

Amaya Watne of Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School (pictured), and Marianna Gonzalez of Eagle Grove High School gave their perspective of their participation in the Girls State Program at their October 2, 2018 meeting at the VFW/Legion Hall in Clarion.   

Clarion American Legion Auxiliary was able to sponsor three girls through a Community Foundation grant of $500 awarded in December, 2017.  Money was collected from three units to complete our $1200 registration fee for three girls.  This premier program helps high school students to learn about the political process and offers a chance to make friends, and learn of programs of the American Legion Auxiliary.
