Elementary art students soak up a little culture

Dia de los Muertos. Day of the Dead.

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows second and fifth graders learned about the holiday and the meaning behind last week in art class.

The students also each had the chance to create a unique design on a paper skull, which was they then made into a mask by gluing a popsicle stick to it.

Read more about what the students learned and why the art instructor believes lessons like these are so important to the curriculum in the November 6 issue of The Wright County Monitor.
