Eagle Grove Police Officers respond to lacerations call

At 4:22 am, on Saturday, June 27th, Eagle Grove Police Officers responded to a call in the 400 block of North Iowa Ave, in Eagle Grove, for a man with lacerations to his leg.  When officers arrived they learned that the man had been stabbed.  The subject was transported to Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion for treatment.

The Eagle Grove Police Department, along with the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation, began an investigation which led to the arrest of Evan Douglas Calo, 33, of Goldfield, Iowa.  Mr. Calo is currently being held at the Wright County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

The Eagle Grove Police Department and the Iowa DCI are still investigating this incident.

Any criminal charges are merely an accusation and all suspects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Mr. Calo has been charged with Burglary in the 1st degree.
