Davis runs personal best at meet in Algona

On Monday, Sept. 29, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows cross country teams traveled to Algona for a big meet hosted by the Bulldogs. Pocahontas Area took the girls title with 38 points, followed by Humboldt with 107 and Emmetsburg with 121. The Cowgirls were 15th in the 17-team field.

Finishes and times for the Cowgirl varsity were: Claire Davis (32nd) in 17:03.36; Kenzie Alberts (43rd) in 17:23.99; Meleah Johnson (94th) in 19:12.60; Kayleen Johnson (99th) in 19:35.53; Angela Castro (101st) in 19:40.41; Maya Jackson (109th) in 20:28.67 and Angela Garcia (188th) in 21:51.08.
