Cowgirls win six of seven matches in past week’s action

After losing to some powerhouse teams at a tournament in Osage, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team is rolling again in taking six of seven recent matches. They have now won eight of their last nine following the Osage invitational.

They started by disposing of Eagle Grove last Tuesday by set scores of 25-3, 25-2 and 25-14. Team serving was just over 97 percent, with Megan Askelsen at 24 of 25 with a great nine aces as she was really on  at the serving line. Jadyn Jondle was next at 17 of 18, and was equally hot with nine ace serves herself. Morgan Middleton was 13 of 13 (five) and Alaina Friesleben 13 of 13 (two). Kendall Lienemann was 2 of 2 (one) and Emily Kapka 1 of 1.
