Cowgirls season ends with 3-1 loss to North Butler

The last time these two teams met was at the opening match of the Cowgirl Invitational tournament, where North Butler won in two straight sets. However, this is a much different Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team from that early season loss. They were playing at the top of their game, and took a set from the Bearcats while staying close in two others. It still was not enough to extend their season, as North Butler won 3-1 by scores of: L25-19, L25-22, W25-17, L25-21.

The team served at just under 98 percent, with Jossie Sann going 16 of 16 in her final Cowgirl volleyball match. Maddie Disney went 14 of 14 with three aces, Hope Polzin 13 of 13 with an ace and Jenalee Hinkle 9 of 9. Mara Warnke was 21 of 22 with an ace, and Celeste Swanson 11 of 12 with two aces.

Disney made 20 assists, and Hinkle 14, as setters. Hannah TerHark added two assists and Polzin one. Celeste pounded 17 kills, with Sann making 11 successful spikes for points. Disney added seven, Lili Swanson and Sydney TerHark two each and Hinkle one kill.
