Cowgirls pass first regional test, defeat Nevada

With two players in double figures, and a home court advantage, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls made the most of it all in a 50-36 win over Nevada in the first round of regional play last Saturday. The Cowgirls held a 21-12 advantage over the Cubs at halftime.

Raven Kinnetz poured in 16 points with three treys, while Quinn Hansch shredded the nets for 14 points on four buckets from downtown. Jadyn Jondle, Courtney Harle and Megan Askelsen all managed five poits each, with Vanessa Kolb checking in with four points and Emily Kapka one counter of the total. In rebounding, Kolb and Kapka both grabbed seven each off the glass with Harle at six. Jondle and Kinnetz got their hands on three caroms each, with Hansch at two and Askelsen one.
