Cowgirls finish indoor season at Iowa State

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls track & field team finished up the indoor portion of their schedule last Monday at Iowa State University.

In field events, Maddie Disney continued her nice early efforts with a 15’ 4.25” best mark in the long jump for eighth out of 85 entries. Kenzie Goodell was 41st with 13’ 9” in that event. Mikayla Hennigar threw the shot 28’ 7” for 53rd out of 92 throwers.

Meleah Johnson was 71st out of 121 runners in the 60-meter dash with a 9.01. Goodell took 81st with 9.11 in that event. Kenzie Alberts carved out a nice 13th place out of 104 runners in the 800, posting a 2:29.45. Teammate Cierra Milner was 69th in 2:59.57 in the same event. Courtney Studer took 30th out of 83 in the 1500 with a 5:38.79. Makayla Konopasek was 72nd in 6:41.40. Milner took 46th in the 3000 with a 15:03.68 clocking.
