Cowgirls find first win of season 16-10

Kapka goes 5 for 5 with 3 RBI

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity softball team unleashed a potent offensive attack last Wednesday versus Clear Lake, and needed most all of it in getting a much needed 16-10 win over the Lions.

After tying the game at 4-4 after three complete innings, the Lions came up with a four-run fourth to try to pull away again. The red and black would have none of it, and proceeded to plate six of their own to go up by two scores. After holding Clear Lake bats silent in the fifth, they busted loose for five more scores to decide it.
