Cowgirls defeat Southeast Valley

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls varsity basketball team finishes the 2015 portion of their schedule at 3-5 overall following a 51-35 win over Southeast Valley last Tuesday at Gowrie. The red and black spotted their host a 9-4 advantage after one quarter, then took over the game in the next two periods to tie it at 18-18 by halftime and then lead 33-23 after three quarters.

Hannah TerHark had a nice night in scoring 18 points on 50 percent from the field and 4 of 4 at the line. Maddie Disney finished with 11 points, including a trey, with Hannah Kapka adding six points and both Ashley Keller and Shelby Engh five points apiece. Kenzie Alberts scored four points, with Lili Swanson and Mikayla Hennigar each adding one point to complete that column.
