Cowgirls defeat Humboldt, Two ladies in double figures

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls basketball team traveled to Iowa Falls-Alden last Tuesday and lost 56-40 to the home team. The Cowgirls were ahead 22-17 at halftime, only to see the Cadets have a 25 points to three advantage thru the third for a big lead to begin the fourth period.

Raven Kinnetz knocked down 15 points, with Courtney Harle at 11 points. Morgan Middleton had four points, Lauren Odland and Quinn Hansch three points each and Kendall Lienemann and Vanessa Kolb two points each. Harle led the board work with five, followed by Kolb with four and both Jadyn Jondle and Emily Kapka with three each. Kinnetz, Hansch and Megan Askelsen all had two caroms each, with Odland, Lienemann and Middleton finishing at one apiece.
