Cowgirls compete at UNI, Wartburg

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls track & field team competed last Monday at the Dickinson Relays at UNI in Cedar Falls. In the field events, Maddie Disney took seventh overall with a 16’ 8” in the long jump. Chelsie Dow threw the shot 25’ 10” for sixth in her flight. Faith Nelson threw for a 29’ 5” best mark for second in her flight, with Mikayla Hennigar throwing 31’ 2.5” for third in her flight.

Sid Magee was second in her flight of the 60 meter dash prelims with a 8.95, while Kenzie Goodell went 8.99 in that same race. In the 200 dash, it was Ana Johnson eighth in her section with a 31.02 while while Megan Zwiefel took seventh in her section in 32.04. In the 400, it was Claire Davis second in her section with 1:02.50 and Kenzie Alberts right behind her with 1:03.05 in the same heat. Haley Nerem was sixth in her section in 1:09.90. In the 800, Alberts was first in her section at 2:35.92 with Davis right behind at 2:37.78 in the same race. Courtney Studer was 11th in her section with 2:56.98.

In the 60-meter hurdles, it was Megan Askelson eighth in her heat in 12.38. Ana Johnson finished in 10.89 for third in her heat, with Zwiefel fourth in 10.69 in her heat.
