Cowgirl track and field competes at S. Hamilton

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls track & field team traveled to Jewell on Tuesday for a meet hosted by South Hamilton. Roland-Story took the team title with 88 points, followed by: Collins-Maxwell 62, S. Hamilton 52.5, C-G-D 51.5 and Colo-Nesco 22.

Courtney Harle was an individual winner, taking the 100 dash in a 13.00 finish time. Both the 4x2 and 4x8 relay groups turned in winning performances as well. The 4x2 team of Meleah Johnson, Raven Kinnetz, Sid Magee and Harle on anchor broke the tape in 1:56.20, while the 4x8 foursome of Vanessa Kolb, Jordyn and Jayden Jondle and Cassie Bradburn toured the track in 11:26.00 to win gold.

Other noteworthy efforts included second place finishes from Brenna Harklau (200) and Morgan Middleton (discus). Taking third were the Meleah Johnson (long jump) and both the shuttle hurdle and sprint med relays.
