Cowboys win sectional, advance nine to districts, Will also host regional duals this week

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows won the team title at the 2A sectional last Saturday in Humboldt. The Cowboys piled up 227.5 points to finish comfortably ahead of the host Wildcats with 208 points. The rest finished like this: Southeast Valley 161, Algona 160, Iowa Falls-Alden 141 and Pocahontas Area 88. By the time you read this, the team will have taken part in a regional dual to try to make it back once again to the state duals. Check these pages for the story on that next week.

Cowboy champions for the day were Tyler Stein (113), Remington Hanson (132), Reed Abbas (138) and Spencer Trenary (285). Also advancing as runners-up were Garrett Seaba (120), Keaton Wilson (145), Carter Dietz (170), Sam Wigans (182) and Colby Lienemann (195).
