Cowboys take two of three games in first week of play

Even though they stumbled last Friday night in a 68-36 loss at Algona, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys varsity basketball team at least showed they can be competitive by winning two non-conference games leading up to that date with the Bulldogs.

In their Tuesday night game home curtainraiser veruses Corn Bowl Conference team Northwood-Kensett, the red and black turned back an early Vikings advantage and dominated the second half en route to a 64-59 victory.
