Cowboys still trying to find the right combination

On May 31, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity baseball team lost 8-7 to West Fork. Eryn Ulven and Calen Rosenbaum had two hits each, and Jarrod Littlejohn stroked a double. Jacob O’Connor and Zack Leist both singled. Brendon Boyd, Leist and Ulven all had two RBI each, with O’Connor crossing home plate three times. Leist threw for six K’s, and O’Connor four K’s, in mound work.

On June 1, they lost 10-0 to Humboldt. Littlejohn made connection for the only hit, a double.

On June 2, they lost 9-1 to West Fork. O’Connor did his part to help the offense by blasting a homerun, while Boyd also had a base hit. Zach Martin threw for three strikeouts, with Leist allowing just one earned run with two K’s.
