Cowboys seventh at NCC track & field meet

Algona kept their firm hold on their dominance of North Central Conference boys track & field by taking another title at this past Monday’s meet in Algona. The Bulldogs, winners for the eighth straight year, racked up 177 points. Following them were: Humboldt 106, Webster City 96, Clear Lake 85, Iowa Falls-Alden 81, St. Edmond 71, Cowboys 49 and Hampton-Dumont 36.

Mason Willey doubled up, taking both the 100 and 200 dash events. He was also second in the long jump. The 4x100 relay was second as well. “Mason looked impressive, with extremely good times given the conditions,” said coach Craig Warnke. “The 4x100 ran a solid race, and Zieman had a PB in the discus.”
