Cowboys score another win 18-12 over Broncos

If you like a wild, run-filled baseball game then you would have been totally in your element last Tuesday at Belmond as Clarion-Goldfield-Dows defeated the Broncos 18-12. Both teams combined for 24 hits in the slugfest, with the red and black plating six of theirs in the first inning alone. After putting up a 10-3 lead after three complete frames, the visitors came home with six of their own in their half of the fourth. The Cowboys would have none of it, posting seven more scores in the fifth to put it away for good.

Brendon Boyd swung a mighty stick in this one, going 3 for 4 including a double and driving in two runs. Several others had good nights at the plate as well, with Calen Rosenbaum going 2 for 2 with three RBI and two runs scored.
