Cowboys lose close game to Iowa Falls-Alden, Two players in double digit scoring

In a home game moved to Monday due to an incoming storm, Iowa Falls-Alden came to town and left with a 62-52 win over Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. The Cowboys were up 29-27 at the break, but were then outscored 17 points to four through the third period.

Two players finished in double figures, with Mateo Martinez netting 14 points with a trey included and Christian Gaytan dropping 10 points through the hoops with two treys. Alec Martin was close in finishing with nine counters including two three’s. Coady Olson scored seven points, Jaace Weidemann five points, Connor State three points and Blake Jackson and Clinton Miller two points each. State finished with 10 boards, six of them on defense. Gaytan grabbed six caroms, Jackson and Weidemann four each, Martin three and Miller two. Martinez had one rebound.
