Cowboys get past West Fork by 7-6 score

Last Thursday on West Fork’s home field, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys only mustered seven singles which was all they would need in scoring a 7-6 road win over the Warhawks. After the home team went up 4-0 after three complete innings, the boys in red and black held them in check over the next two frames while plating six runs of their own for a 6-4 advantage. They would make that hold up to the last out of the game.

Cody Kapka and Calen Rosenbaum led the attack as both went 2 for 3 at the plate. Kapka had two RBI, while Rosenbaum scored a couple of runs. Eryn Ulven was 1 for 3 with two RBI and a run scored. Kenton Waters and Jacob Harvey also pounded out singles, with each also crossing the plate once. Jarrod Littlejohn was credited with an RBI, while Will Weidemann scored twice as a courtesy runner.
