Cowboys eliminated from postseason play

Last Friday in Jewell, the Cowboy basketball team lost a 66-26 district game to South Hamilton. They were still in it after one quarter, as the Hawks led 20-10. However, over the last three periods they could manage only 16 total points as the home team pulled away to the win.

Christian Gaytan scored seven points, with Alec Martin and Blake Jackson at five points each. Connor State scored four points, Mateo Martinez three points and Jaace Weidemann two points. Weidemann grabbed six rebounds, with State getting his mitts on four caroms and Martinez, Gaytan and Coady Olson two each. Martin and Kaden Bricker both made one rebound.
