Cowboys drop games to Iowa Falls-Alden, Webster City

Last Tuesday night in Iowa Falls, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity boys basketball team was defeated by the Cadets 68-44. The home team held a 32-23 halftime advantage.

Zach Martin popped in 13 points with four buckets from downtown, while Rhett Darland canned 11 points with a trey. Will Weidemann scored eight points, Sam Urness five points, Alex Machuca and Riley State three points each and Bryce Tegtmeyer one point. Weidemann crashed the boards for six rebounds, with Urness grabbing four and both Tegtmeyer and Martin three each. Machuca, Darland and State all had one rebound apiece on their final stat lines.

Darland and Martin both made two assists, with Urness, Tegtmeyer, Machuca and State at one each. Martin grabbed two steals, with Urness crditted with one. Darland also had a blocked shot.
