Cowboys crush Bulldogs, cruise through three other duals

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows wrestling machine made quick work of gobbling up three more easy dual wins last Tuesday in Britt. They defeated Eagle Grove 78-3, Lake Mills 56-12 and the host Eagles 66-15.

In the dual with Eagle Grove, falls were recorded by Chance Konopasek (106), Justin Portillo (113), Calen Rosenbaum (132), Tanner Abbas (138), Brady Brott (145), Dakota Hennigar (152), Sam Wigans (160), Mason Carpenter (182), Ben Powers (195) and Zach Pogge (220). Hennigar was the quickest, not even breaking a sweat in putting his man away in just 37 seconds. Three other Cowboys won by forfeit.

Versus the Bulldogs, it was Justin Portillo, Josh Portillo (120), Lucas Lienemann (126), Rosenbaum, Abbas, Wigans and Powers taking wins by fall. The fastest of those came from Josh at just 1:05 in putting his opponent away. Brott and Hennigar both scored major decisions.

Versus the West Hancock Eagles, it was Connor Johnson (106), Josh Portillo, Lienemann, Brott, Hennigar, Wigans and Hanson all putting their opponents shoulders to the mat. Hanson took only 55 seconds to get his fall. Four others scored forfeit points.
