Cowboys and Team Valley wrestling donate to HOPES

Clarion’s wrestling community came forward for the second year in a row to give to others this holiday season. Alexis Morgan, director of the county’s HOPES (Healthy Opportunities for Parents to Experience Success) program, explained that the Cowboy wrestlers and Team Valley—and their families—again helped to provide gifts and food to the families in the program.

“I had quite a few tags leftover. The parents called me up and said they’d like to be a part of it again,” Morgan said.

Though Morgan is married to the Cowboys’ head coach, she didn’t push for them to work with the HOPES program. “The parents initiated it, and the kids embraced it, and they jumped on board,” she said.
