Cowboy golfers get in a pair of home meets

The Cowboy golf team was able to enjoy some home cooking last week in playing back to back meets on the home Clarmond course. On Monday, they defeated Southeast Valley 178-215. Dalton Nesheim was medalist with a two-over par 38, while teammate Alec Martin took the runner-up spot with a 42 total. Other counting cards belonged to Camden Hanson and Brandon Schultz with identical 49 scores. Varsity rounds were also played by Blake Jackson (50) and Andrew Conlon (58).

“Dalton played very well, with a little hiccup on eight but still shot a fine score,” stated head coach Pat O’Brien. “Alec had two triple bogeys but fought back to play the rest of the round at even par. Blake struggled off the first tee which eventually cost him eight strokes, so he played the rest of the round pretty well. I’m round of the way they fought back. We’re still looking for that fourth scorer to round out the team. There is potential, but it needs to show up soon.”
