Cowboy golfers defeat two teams in recent action

On Monday, April 8, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf team hosted Roland-Story at the Oakridge course. The Cowboy varsity defeated the Norsemen 183-190, with Dalton Nesheim taking medalist honors with a 42 total. Blake Jackson and Alec Martin were next with identical 45 scores to tie for runner-up. Camden Hanson provided the fourth counting card with a 51. Rounds were also played by Brandon Schultz (54) and Garrett Seaba (62).

“Weather was good, but maybe a little windy,” said head coach Pat O’Brien. “The team score was about 10 strokes worse than what it could or should be, but we came out with a win. That score won’t hold up very often. Dalton and Alec played well, but Dalton struggled at the end of his round and Alec knocked a couple out of bounds which made their scores look worse than they played.
