Cowboy golfers can't find a win, but team is competitive

Even though there are no wins to show for the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf team’s first week of action, one thing is abundantly clear. They are competitive, and especially on the team itself as evidenced by the changing names at the top of the score sheets.

On Monday, April 4, they opened the season with a 173-187 varsity loss at Garner-Hayfield/Ventura. Blake Jackson fired the low team round of 44, followed by the other counting scores of Zach Martin with 46, Brendon Boyd with 48 and Dalton Nesheim with 49. Other rounds were contributed by Will Weidemann (50) and Matt Jacobsen (55).

The Cowboy JV won handily 144-215. JV scores were: Dylan Jackson with 47, Alec Martin with 48, Sam Johnson with 49 and Trey Jackson with 50.
