Cowboy golf team seventh at NCC tournament

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf team took seventh place this past Monday at the NCC Tournament held at Algona. Webster City took the team title with a 322 total, followed in order by: Humboldt 325, Clear Lake 328, St. Edmond 340, Hampton-Dumont 355, Algona 368, Cowboys 372 and Iowa Falls-Alden 379. Medalist was Avery Fuhs of the Lynx with an 18-hole 78.

For the Cowboys, scorecards were turned in by Kenton Waters and Mike Schaffer (both at 91), Trenton Sann (93), Brendon Boyd (97), Zach Martin (99) and Will Weidemann (117). “It was very cold and windy, but it was for everyone,” said head coach Pat O’Brien.
