County discusses contracts with potential new phone provider

If the county were to make Lightedge, a Des Moines-based business, their new phone provider, it could cost the county roughly $2,200 more on their bill per month.

However, removing one particular feature could reduce that to about $600 more per month.

The Wright County Board of Supervisors discussed both the purchase and master service agreements with a potential new phone provider, Lightedge Solutions, a Des Moines-based business, at their regular meeting held February 16.

“That’s a lot of money to just be able to transfer calls between county employees,” explained District #1 Rick Rasmussen referring to the possible addition of internal county connectivity  that would cost about $1,600 per month.
