Coach Willwerth releases final Cowboy baseball stats

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity head baseball coach Nick Willwerth has now released his final team stats along with the All-Conference selections for the year. The team was 2-22 overall for the season, with a 0-14 conference mark. Humboldt topped the league at 14-0, followed by Clear Lake at 12-2 and Algona at 10-4 in the top three. Senior Jarrod Littlejohn was named to the All-Conference Second Team as an outfielder.

As a team, the Cowboys had 566 total at-bats to produce 88 runs on 107 hits. Among those connections were 25 doubles, two triples and six homeruns. A total of 72 RBI were produced. There was one sac fly, 67 walks taken and 32 stolen bases in 38 attempts. The team batting average was .189, with a .272 slugging percentage.

Jarrod Littlejohn had 22 hits in 70 at-bats for an average of .314. Brendon Boyd had 14 hits in 67 at-bats for an average of .209. Zach Martin had 13 hits in 58 at-bats for an average of .224. Zack Leist had 13 hits in 52 at-bats for an average of .250. Will Weidemann had 12 hits in 58 at-bats for an average of .207.

Calen Rosenbaum had 12 hits in 58 at-bats for an average of .207. Jacob O’Connor had 10 hits in 56 at-bats for an average of .179. Eryn Ulven had three hits in 42 at-bats for an average of .071. Bryce Tegtmeyer had three hits in 25 at-bats for an average of .120. Zach Frye had two hits in seven at-bats for an average of .286.
